The main theme of the Gospel of Mark is Jesus as our Servant King. Mark walks us through a more summarized version of the life of Jesus and he highlights the Kingdom of God pared with the servant-nature of Christ. Mark 10:45 is the theme verse of the book, it says, "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

At Citylight, our normal rhythm as a church is primarily to pick books of the Bible, teach through them chapter by chapter, verse by verse! We do this because we want the Spirit of God to transform the people of God through the Word of God!
