Week 6

Mar 21, 2021    Phil Robinson    People with a Purpose

## Main Idea
In order to live as people with a purpose, we MUST be a people committed to making disciples. In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus gives the great commission to make disciples. This is the primary purpose of the church. That is why our mission statement is...we exist to multiply disciples and churches.

The goal of this week is to grow as a disciple of Jesus who is seeking to make disciples of Jesus.

## Personal Challenge
Daily Prayer:
- **Monday**: Read Luke 14:25-33. Remember that Jesus carried His cross for you. Make a conscious decision to take up your cross for Him. Release any control you’ve been holding onto. Make plans to attend City Group.
- **Tuesday**: Read Matthew 28:18-20. Use your journal and SOAP through these verses. Write down the verse, an observation, an application, and a short prayer.
- **Wednesday**: Read 2 Timothy 2:1-2. There are four generations of disciples in these 2 verses. Consider and pray about how this spiritual multiplication chain will continue with you.
- **Thursday**: Read Matthew 4:18-20. As disciples of Jesus, we are fishers of men. Who is your ONE you will invite to our public launch on Easter Sunday?
- **Friday**: Read 2 Corinthians 5:14-15. Confess any ways that you have lived for yourself instead of Christ. Seek to live for Him in every area of your life.
- **Saturday**: Read John 15:1-5. Apart from Christ, you can do nothing. Use your journal and SOAP through these verses.
- **Sunday**: Read Romans 10:14-17. Join us at 9:30AM to hear more!

## City Group Focus
At City Group, discuss the sermon and passages from the previous gathering on Discipleship. Spend time sharing about your discipleship experience. Have someone share a story of how someone invested in them and made an impact on their lives. Emphasis Huddles and encourage everyone to be part of one.
